DESCRIPTION:FIREFIGHTER 1\n\nThis 120-hour course will be conducted at Terr
 a Alta VFD\, Terra Alta\, WV (Preston County). Class will begin on Tuesday
 \, November 3\, 2026 at 6:00pm.  Class will meet on the following dates: 
 November 3\, 7\, 12\, 15\, 18\, 21\, 24\; December 10\, 12\; January 6\, 9
 \, 14\, 17\, 19\, 23\, 26\, 31\; February 11\, 13\, &amp\; 21\, 2026.  Cl
 ass times are 6-10pm on week days and 9am - 5pm on weekends.  Live burn t
 raining will be scheduled at a date TBA.  Charles Curtis is the lead inst
 ructor for the course.  Parts of this class will be run in a virtual inst
 ructor led model\, so students will need to have access to good internet\,
  and a laptop/tablet/desktop to be able to log in to virtual class meeting

 st placement on a waiting list.\n\nTUITION/COSTS: Student cost $60 plus $6
 0 supply fee. The “Fundamentals of Firefighter Skills” book will be av
 ailable from the instructor at a cost of $85 each.\n\n*Students must come 
 to each in person class session with structural firefighting PPE (helmet\,
  coat\, pants\, boots\, gloves\, nomex hood\, and SCBA cylinder and face m
 ask).  Gear must be in date in order to participate in the live burn trai
 ning.
