Fire Fighter 2 – online
The 40-hour Fire Fighter 2 class meets NFPA 1001, 2019 edition. The text is “Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills and Hazardous Materials Response 4th Edition” by Jones and Bartlett – WV custom cover W/Premier Access (cost of book w/code is $130.00 and tuition is $45.00). If the student has a current 4th Edition book, they can purchase the access code separately (Cost of the code is $95.00 and tuition is $45.00). Books will not be released until they are purchased. Successful completion of this class provides the minimum requirements by the WV State Fire Commission to respond to vehicle extrication calls. Prerequisite is Firefighter 1.
Class is being held online with two days of in-person class sessions (May 15th and June 12th) at Beaver VFD. An organizational meeting will be held on April 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm and the PST Office located at 214 N Kanawha St., Beckley, WV. Pre-registration is required for this course. You must complete the registration form on this page to reserve your seat for this class.
Please note: The confirmation email you receive after you register for the class will list the address for Beaver VFD. Please be aware that the organizational meeting on April 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm will be held at the PST Office located at 214 N Kanawha St., Beckley, WV.
