Each month\, the next month's course w ill be advertised and registration opened.\n\nOctober's Training Will Be: Farm Rescue\n\nPlease note: Due to some unforeseen circumstances\, the or iginal course planned for August\, Basic Pump Operations\, was cancelled a nd has been rescheduled for November 5 &\; 6\, 2022.\n\nDescription:  This course was designed to provide firefighters\, emergency medical and r escue personnel with knowledge of farm accidents\, farm hazards\, and gene ral rescue/extrication procedures.  This course covers agriculture statis tics\, pre-incident planning\, hazards\, safety\, scene size-up\, resource s\, types of farm equipment\, types of farm structures\, types of injuries and rescue/extrication procedures.  The course is broken up into two day s:  the first day is classroom work including classroom exercises\, lectu re\, videos and slide presentations.  The second day consists of field ex ercises with an emphasis placed on:  tractor\, power take off and farm im plement stabilization\, rescue and extrication procedures.  This course w ould be beneficial to responders who not only have farms in their response areas but also golf courses\, industry\, or any other business that uses agriculture types of equipment.  The course is designed for the potential rescuer to successfully respond to these types of emergencies in their ar eas.  The course concentrates on agriculture and agriculture incidents co mmon for the local area.\n\nPPE Needed: Gear or Coveralls and long sleeve shirts\, ear and eye protection\, gloves\, and steel toed boots\n\nTuitio n: $35/person\n\nLocation: Valley Fire &\; Rescue (28409 Huntington Rd. \, Apple Grove\, WV 25502)\n\nDate: October 1-2\, 2022\n\nTime: 0900-1700\ n\nInstructor: Steve Cavender\n\nTo Register: Follow the guidelines in the attached document using the course number in this posting.
