SUMMARY:EMT - Upper Tract VFD Training Center
DESCRIPTION:WV Public Service Training will be conducting an Emergency Medi
 cal Technician course beginning January 23rd at the Upper Tract VFD Traini
 ng Center. Classes will  meet 8am - 4pm two days a week. Those days will 
 be discussed the first week of class.\n\nMichael Alt will be the instructo
 r.\n\nAll Students are required to have a laptop computer for class!\n\nTi
 me: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm\n\nThis 155 hour minimum program is the basic level
  of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. Th
 is class meets the National Standards Curriculum.  The EMT candidate must
  successfully complete the program\, complete required clinical time\, com
 plete the practical skills testing\, and obtain a passing score on the c
 omputer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required by Natio
 nal Registry every two years.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\
 , you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam. If 
 seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to comp
 lete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass prac
 tical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certificati
