DESCRIPTION:WV Public Service Training will be conducting an Emergency Medi
 cal Technician course beginning October 17 starting at 6pm at the Willey F
 ord VFC. Classes will  meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-10. Weekend req
 uirements will be discussed during first class.\n\nPaula Detrick will be t
 he lead instructor.\n\nAll Students are required to have a laptop computer
  for class!\n\nTime: 6pm-10pm\n\nThis 155 hour minimum program is the basi
 c level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Servi
 ces. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum.  The EMT candida
 te must successfully complete the program\, complete required clinical tim
 e\, complete the practical skills testing\, and obtain a passing score on
  the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required b
 y National Registry every two years.\n\nUpon successful completion of the 
 course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exa
 m. If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not need 
 to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pa
 ss practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the cert
