SUMMARY:EMT - Initial South Branch Career and Technical Center
DESCRIPTION:WV Public Service Training will be conducting an Emergency Medi
 cal Technician course beginning August 15 2023 at South Branch Career and 
 Technical Center. Classes will  meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-10. We
 ekend requirements will be discussed during first class.\n\nMegan Goldizen
  will be the instructor.\n\nAll Students are required to have a laptop com
 puter for class!\n\nTime: 6pm-10pm\n\nThis 155 hour minimum program is the
  basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical 
 Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum.  The EMT ca
 ndidate must successfully complete the program\, complete required clinica
 l time\, complete the practical skills testing\, and obtain a passing sco
 re on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is requi
 red by National Registry every two years.\n\nUpon successful completion of
  the course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMT
 s exam. If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not 
 need to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need 
 to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the
