SUMMARY:EMT Initial - Randolph County EMS
DESCRIPTION:This approximately 155-hour course is being conducted at Randol
 ph County EMS in Elkins\, WV (Randolph County).  The course will begin Se
 ptember 90 2026 at 6:00pm.  Class will meet on the following dates: Septe
 mber 9\, 10\, 12\, 14\, 16\, 18\, 22\, 24\, 26\, 28\, 30\; October 6\, 8\,
  10\, 12\, 14\, 16\, 20\, 22\, 24\, 26\, 28\, 30\; November 3\, 5\, 7\, 9\
 , 11\, 13\, 17\, 19\, &amp\; 20\, 2026.  Practical skills testing date TB
 D.  Class times will be 6:00pm - 10:00pm on weekdays and 9am - 5pm on wee
 kends unless directed otherwise by the course instructor.  The lead instr
 uctor for the course is Keith Brown.  Students MUST bring a laptop or tab
 let to the first class session on September 9\, 2026.  Students must have
  access to a computer outside of the classroom\, reliable internet\, and b
 e self motivated to complete assignments and spend time studying outside o
 f formal class hours.\n\n The course requires a clinical component to be 
 completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an 
 EMS agency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be c
 ompleted in order to obtain WV certification as an EMT.  You will receive
  more information on the clinical component during the class.\n\nUpon succ
 essful completion of course requirements\, students will be eligible to si
 t for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam attempt b
 eing included within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at 
 your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking certificati
 on in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certifi
 cation process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and N
 REMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your 
 desired state.\n\nAbsence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 h
 ours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the course in
 structor.\n\nCourse fee is $650 and includes: tuition\, textbook\, access 
 to EMS testing program\, and 1st attempt NREMT exam voucher (upon successf
 ul completion of course requirements).  State of WV licensing fees are se
 parate and are the responsibility of the student if seeking WV certificati
 on.  Course fees\, or an authorization to invoice agency form (can be obt
 ained from the WVPST Clarksburg office)\, are due by the first class sessi
 on.\n\nPre- registration for this class is required.\n\nTo register please
  print and fill out the course application below\, and submit with a $50 a
 pplication fee (will be counted towards total course fees) to the WVPST Cl
 arksburg office at P.O. Box 40\, Bridgeport\, WV 26330.  This can be paid
