DESCRIPTION:The WV Public Service Training Charleston office will be offeri
 ng an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at their Dunbar classroom 
 beginning Tuesday\, August 14\, 2018 and ending Tuesday\, January 15\, 201
 9. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm unti
 l 9:30 pm.\n\nThe Public Service Training Emergency Medical Technician pro
 gram is a 155+ hour course which covers the basic information needed to fu
 nction as an EMT level pre-hospital provider. The primary focus of the EMT
  is to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for the cri
 tical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This 
 course does not certify students as an EMT. Successful completion of the c
 ourse will allow the student to be considered eligible to take the certify
 ing exams. Additional fees will need to be paid to the appropriate agencie
 s for background checks and test fees.\n\nThis course contains a clinical 
 ride along component. Dates and times for the clinicals will be determined
  by the student\, instructor and EMS agency.\n\nYou may mail payment or pa
 y at the WV PST office in Dunbar. Payment must be check or money order mad
 e out to Mountain State ESC. Credit and debit cards are not accepted.\n\nS
