SUMMARY:POSTPONED - EMT Initial Class
DESCRIPTION:This 155-hour course is being conducted at Camden Clark Hospita
 l at 800 Garfield Ave.\, Parkersburg\, WV 26101.  Class begins on Tuesday
 \, March 17\, 2020 from 6pm-10pm each evening\, beginning July 7\, 2020. 
  The course instructor is Lisa Wix.\n\nCost:  FREE to you from the Jobs &
 amp\; Hope WV\n\nThe course also requires a clinical component to be compl
 eted outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS a
 gency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be compl
 eted prior to being approved to take the NREMT exam once the course is co
 mpleted. You will receive more information on the clinical component durin
 g the class.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will be eli
 gible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exa
 m attempt\, as mentioned above\, being included within the course tuition.
   This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testin
 g center.  If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will n
 ot need to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply ne
 ed to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with 
 the certification process in your desired state.\n\nPre- registration for 
 this class is required. Class is limited to 30 students. \n\nAbsence allo
 wance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 hours. Make up of missed classe
 s will be at the discretion of the course instructor.\n\nPlease contact th
