SUMMARY:EMT Initial - Clarksburg\, WV
DESCRIPTION:This approximately 155-hour course is being conducted at United
  Technical Center in Clarksburg\, WV (Harrison County).  The course will 
 begin on Thursday\, October 1\, 2026 at 6:00pm.  Class will meet on the f
 ollowing dates: October 1\, 5\, 13\, 16\, 19\, 22\, 25\, 28\, 30\; Novembe
 r 1\, 4\, 5\, 12\, 15\, 19\, 21\; December 3\, 5\, 6\, 11\, 14\, 18\, 2026
 \; January 4\, 9\, 12\, 15\, 2027.  Practical skills testing date TBD.  
 Class times will be 6:00pm - 10:00pm on weeknights and 9am - 6pm on weeken
 d dates\, unless directed otherwise by the course instructor.  Course ins
 tructors will be Jimmy Glasscock and Nick Wade.  Students MUST bring a la
 ptop or tablet to the first class session on October 1\, 2026.  Students 
 must have access to a computer outside of the classroom\, reliable interne
 t\, and be self motivated to complete assignments and spend time studying 
 outside of formal class hours.\n\n The course requires a clinical compone
 nt to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along
  with an EMS agency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments 
 must be completed in order to obtain WV certification as an EMT.  You wil
 l receive more information on the clinical component during the class.\n\n
 Upon successful completion of course requirements\, students will be eligi
 ble to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam 
 attempt being included within the course tuition.  This test will be sche
 duled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking ce
 rtification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the W
 V certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical test
 ing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process
  in your desired state.\n\nAbsence allowance is 10% of the total class hou
 rs = 15 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the 
 course instructor.\n\nCourse fee is $650 and includes: tuition\, textbook\
 , access to EMS testing program\, and 1st attempt NREMT exam voucher (upon
  successful completion of course requirements).  State of WV licensing fe
 es are separate and are the responsibility of the student if seeking WV ce
 rtification.  Course fees\, or an authorization to invoice agency form (c
 an be obtained from the WVPST Clarksburg office)\, are due by the first cl
 ass session.\n\nPre- registration for this class is required.\n\nTo regist
