SUMMARY:EMT Initial - Cassville VFD
DESCRIPTION:This 155-hour course is being conducted at Cassville VFD in Mor
 gantown\, WV (Monongalia County) beginning Tuesday\, September 8\, 2020 at
  6:00pm.  Class dates are as follows: September 8\, 9\, 10\, 15\, 16\, 17
 \, 22\, 23\, 24\, 29\, 30\; October 1\, 7\, 8\, 13\, 14\, 15\, 20\, 21\, 2
 2\, 27\, 28\, 29\; November 3\, 4\, 5\, 10\, 11\, 12\, 17\, 18\, 19\; and 
 December 1\, 2\, 3\, 8\, 9\, 10\, 15\, 16\, 2020.  Class will be 5pm - 9p
 m.  The course instructor is Randy Corbin.\n\nThe tuition fee\, first NRE
 MT testing fee and book will be covered for this class.  There is no cost
  to the student (WV Residents only) for tuition\,  first NREMT testing or
  book.  Student will be responsible for WV State Certification fees.\n\nT
 he course also requires a clinical component to be completed outside of cl
 ass hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to complete 
 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be completed in order to ob
 tain WV certification as an EMT.  You will receive more information on th
 e clinical component during the class.\n\nUpon successful completion of th
 e course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs e
 xam\, with the initial exam attempt\, as mentioned above\, being included 
 within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at your convenien
 ce at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking certification in a state 
 other than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certification process
 /fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examinati
 on before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.
 \n\nIf seeking certification in West Virginia at the conclusion of the cou
 rse\, the West Virginia Office of EMS requires a $75 fee for certification
  which is paid online\, and a $45 fee for fingerprinting/criminal backgrou
 nd check. You will receive directions on that process during the class.\n\
 nPre- registration for this class is required. Due to COVID 19 safety best
  practices\, face masks will be required for all classes\, and class size 
 is limited to 15 students.  Absence allowance is 10% of the total class h
 ours = 15 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of th
 e course instructor.\n\nInterested persons should register below by fillin
