DESCRIPTION:WV Public Service Training will be conducting an Emergency Medi
 cal Technician course beginning January 23\, 2023 from 6 pm - 10:00 pm at 
 Elk District Ambulance Service. In person classes will be on Mondays and W
 ednesdays from 6pm - 10pm. Serena Brafford will be the lead instructor.\n\
 nAll Students are required to have a laptop computer for class!\n\nTime: 6
 pm - 10:00pm\n\nThis 155 hour minimum program is the basic level of EMT ca
 re by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. This class m
 eets the National Standards Curriculum.  The EMT candidate must successfu
 lly complete the program\, complete required clinical time\, complete the 
 practical skills testing\, and obtain a passing score on the computer-ba
 sed National Registry exam. Recertification is required by National Regist
 ry every two years.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will
  be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam. If seeking ce
 rtification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the W
 V certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical test
 ing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process
