DESCRIPTION:Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)\n\nThis 155 hour minimum pro
 gram is the basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergen
 cy Medical Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum. 
  The EMT candidate must successfully complete the program\, complete requi
 red clinical time\, complete the practical skills testing\, and obtain a 
 passing score on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertificati
 on is required by National Registry every two years.\n\nWV Public Service 
 Training will be conducting an Emergency Medical Technician course beginni
 ng August 7\, 2021 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at the WVPST Dunbar Office (501 
 22nd St.\, Dunbar\, WV 25064).\n\nPlanned Meeting Dates: August 7 &amp\; 2
 1\; September 4 &amp\; 18\; October 2\, 16\, &amp\; 30\; November 13\; Dec
 ember 4 &amp\; 18\n\nOrientation is in person at the WVPST Dunbar Office o
 n August 7.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will be elig
 ible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam
  attempt\, as mentioned above\, being included within the course tuition.
  This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing
  center. If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not
  need to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need
  to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with th
 e certification process in your desired state.\n\n Absence allowance is 1
 0% of the total class hours = 15 hours. Make up of missed classes will be 
 at the discretion of the course instructor.\n\nFee:  $300 Tuition due fir
 st night of class\n\nBook and First Attempt at National Registry Exam will
  be covered through Jobs &amp\; Hope WV for WV Residents\n\n PRE-REGISTRA
 TION REQUIRED!! CLASS IS LIMITED TO 25 STUDENTS. \n\nWith the limited numb

  all others will be placed on a waitlist. As seats become available\, thos
