ISBN is 9781284080179) will be availa ble for purchase at the first class session for $110 (must be paid in orde r to take a book) or you can purchase/borrow one on your own. If you borro w/purchase your own\, make sure to get the most current edition.\n\n \ ;\n\nThe course also requires a clinical component to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to com plete 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be completed prior to being approved to take the NREMT exam once the course is completed. You w ill receive more information on the clinical component during the class.\n \n \;\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will be eligib le to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam a ttempt\, as mentioned above\, being included within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing c enter.  If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.\n\n \;\n\nIf seeking cer tification in West Virginia at the conclusion of the course\, the West Vir ginia Office of EMS requires a $75 fee for certification which is paid onl ine\, and a $45 fee for fingerprinting/criminal background check. You will receive directions on that process during the class.\n\n \;\n\nPre- r egistration for this class is required. Class is limited to 25 students.  Absence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 hours.
