ISBN is 9781 284080179) will be available for purchase at the first class session for $ 110 (must be paid in order to take a book) or you can purchase/borrow one on your own. If you borrow/purchase your own\, make sure to get the most c urrent edition.\n\n \;\n\nThe course also requires a clinical componen t to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments m ust be completed prior to being approved to take the NREMT exam once the course is completed. You will receive more information on the clinical com ponent during the class.\n\n \;\n\nUpon successful completion of the c ourse\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam \, with the initial exam attempt\, as mentioned above\, being included wit hin the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking certification in a state oth er than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fe es\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state.\n\ n \;\n\nIf seeking certification in West Virginia at the conclusion of the course\, the West Virginia Office of EMS requires a $75 fee for certi fication which is paid online\, and a $45 fee for fingerprinting/criminal background check. You will receive directions on that process during the c lass.\n\n \;\n\nPre- registration for this class is required. Class is limited to 25 students.  Absence allowance is 10% of the total class hou rs = 15 hours.
