ISBN is 978128408017 9) will be available for purchase at the first class session for $110 (mus t be paid in order to take a book) or you can purchase/borrow one on your own. If you borrow/purchase your own\, make sure to get the most current e dition.\n\n \;\n\nThe course also requires a clinical component to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to complete 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be c ompleted prior to being approved to take the NREMT exam once the course i s completed. You will receive more information on the clinical component d uring the class.\n\n \;\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam attempt\, as mentioned above\, being included within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pea rson Vue testing center.  If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before p roceeding with the certification process in your desired state.\n\n \; \n\nIf seeking certification in West Virginia at the conclusion of the cou rse\, the West Virginia Office of EMS requires a $75 fee for certification which is paid online\, and a $45 fee for fingerprinting/criminal backgrou nd check. You will receive directions on that process during the class.\n\ n \;\n\nPre- registration for this class is required. Class is limited to 25 students.  Absence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 hours.
