ISBN is 9781284080179) will be available for purchase at the first class session for $110 (must be paid in order t o take a book) or you can purchase/borrow one on your own. If you borrow/p urchase your own\, make sure to get the most current edition.\n\n \;\n \nThe course also requires a clinical component to be completed outside of class hours during which you will ride along with an EMS agency to comple te 10 patient assessments. These assessments must be completed prior to be ing approved to take the NREMT exam once the course is completed. You wil l receive more information on the clinical component during the class.\n\n  \;\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam att empt\, as mentioned above\, being included within the course tuition.  Th is test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing cen ter.  If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not ne ed to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the c ertification process in your desired state.\n\n \;\n\nIf seeking certi fication in West Virginia at the conclusion of the course\, the West Virgi nia Office of EMS requires a $75 fee for certification which is paid onlin e\, and a $45 fee for fingerprinting/criminal background check.
