DESCRIPTION:WV Public Service Training Southwest will be conducting an onli
 ne interactive Emergency Medical Technician course beginning February 8\, 
 2020 at 9:00 am at their Dunbar location in the Public Service Training cl
 assroom.\n\nThis will be a hybrid learning class where the lectures and cl
 ass room portions will be online.  Skill sessions will be every other Sat
 urday beginning February 8\, 2020 at 9:00 am.\n\nStudents are also require
 d to complete ten (10) patient assessments while doing clinical time on an
  EMS unit. These assessments must be completed prior to being approved to 
 take the NREMT exam once the course is completed.\n\nUpon successful comp
 letion of the course\, you will be eligible to sit for the National Regist
 ry of EMTs exam\, with the initial exam attempt\, as mentioned above\, bei
 ng included within the course tuition.  This test will be scheduled at yo
 ur convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center.  If seeking certification
  in a state other than WV\, you will not need to complete the WV certifica
 tion process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NRE
 MT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your de
 sired state.\n\nAbsence allowance is 10% of the total class hours = 15 hou
 rs. Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the course inst
 ructor.\n\n Fee:  FREE to WV residents from a grant through the Jobs &am
 p\; Hope WV\n\n PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. CLASS IS LIMITED TO 30 STUDENT
