 urse beginning August 24\, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Culloden VFD (2

 0pm on weekend days\n \nOrientation is in person at Culloden on August 24.
 \n \nThis course emphasizes the skills needed to provide basic emergency c
 are during the first phases of an emergency. The course is 72 hours of cla
 ssroom and practical training in all aspects of initial response to a medi
 cal emergency. To receive certification by WVOEMS as a First Responder\, p
 articipants must successfully complete practical skills evaluations\, and 
 pass the computer-based National Registry cognitive (knowledge) test. Rece
 rtification is required by National Registry every two years. This test wi
 ll be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center. If se
 eking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not need to comple
 te the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to pass practi
 cal testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification
  process in your desired state.\n \nAbsence allowance is 10% of the total 
 class hours = 7.2 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at the discreti
 on of the course instructor.\n \nFee:  $380 to include tuition and textboo
 k\n \nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED!! \n \nClass size: 20 participants\n \nIf
