Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

This 155 hour minimum program is the basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum.  The EMT candidate must successfully complete the program, complete required clinical time, complete the practical skills testing, and obtain a passing score on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.

West Virginia Public Service Training will conduct an EMT Basic course at the Mount Hope Fire Department located at 428 Main Street Mount Hope WV 25880. This program will be delivered on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning at 6PM February 3, 2020 and be completed tentatively May 3, 2020. The cost of the course is $300 tuition and $115 for the book. Additional fees for testing, criminal background and certification applications are not included in that fee.
