Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
This 155 hour minimum program is the basic level of EMT care by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. This class meets the National Standards Curriculum. The EMT candidate must successfully complete the program, complete required clinical time, complete the practical skills testing, and obtain a passing score on the computer-based National Registry exam. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years.
Total cost for the class is $700. Class tuition is $300, book is $350, and testing fee is $50. First night of class must pay for the book and the testing fees, and tuition must be paid by Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Books will not be issued until they are paid for, and you must purchase the book with code.
A mandatory interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm at McDowell County 911, 350 Virginia Ave., Welch, WV.
Class will begin on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 5:00 pm at McDowell County 911. Class will be held every Wednesday from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm and every other weekend.
