Students must have a computer and reliable i nternet access in order to complete the assignments required for this clas s.  Students must also be self motivated and able to manage time well in order to complete required assignments on schedule leading up to each in p erson class meeting.  Students MUST be present at the first class session on Saturday\, March 13\, 2021\, in order to receive the course schedule a nd get set up with the necessary online accounts.  In person class meetin gs will be held on March 13 from 8am - noon\, from 8am to 4pm on March 28\ , April 10\, and May 1.  Sherri Craddock is the course instructor.\n\nUpo n successful completion of the course\, students will be eligible for the NREMT (National Registry of EMT’s) EMR examination (computer based and s cheduled by student at a Pearson Vue testing center).  Successful complet ion of the NREMT EMR exam is the only route to WV Certification as an EMR.   Students are only allowed to miss 10% of total course hours before bein g ineligible to successfully complete the class and test NREMT.\n\nPRE-REG ISTER: Pre-register for this class by using the registration link below.  Course enrollment will be capped at about 15 students to facilitate COVID 19 best practice guidelines for group size and social distancing.\n\nCour se tuition is $455\, which includes the student’s textbook\, Navigate LM S access online\, first attempt at the NREMT EMR exam.  Other costs assoc iated with this course include $120 paid to WVOEMS to cover initial certif ication and a criminal background check costs (for those seeking WV certif ication). Fees may be paid with cash\, or check or money order made payabl e to MSESC.
