SUMMARY:Emergency Medical Responder
DESCRIPTION:EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis 72-hour course w
 ill be conducted at Lumberport VFD\, Lumberport\, West Virginia (Harrison 
 County). Class dates will be January 4\, 6\, 9\, 10\, 11\, 13\, 18\, 20\, 
 23\, 24\, 25\, 27\, and 30.  Class times on weekdays will be 6pm-10pm and
  on weekends will be 8am-4:30pm.  Darlene Scott is the instructor.\n\nUpo
 n successful completion of the course\, students will be eligible for the 
 NREMT (National Registry of EMT’s) EMR examination (computer based and s
 cheduled by student at a Pearson Vue testing center).  Successful complet
 ion of the NREMT EMR exam is the only route to WV Certification as an EMR.
   Students are only allowed to miss 10% of total course hours before bein
 g ineligible to successfully complete the class and test NREMT.\n\nPRE-REG
 ISTER: Pre-register for this class by using the registration link below. 
  Course enrollment will be capped at 15 to facilitate COVID 19 best practi
 ce guidelines for group size and social distancing.\n\nCourse tuition is $
 250\, which includes the student’s first attempt at the NREMT EMR exam. 
 AAOS’s “Emergency Medical Responder” 6th edition textbook can be pur
 chased from the instructor at a cost of $105.00. Other costs associated wi
 th this course include $120 to WVOEMS to cover initial certification and a
  criminal background check costs. Fees may be paid with cash\, or check or
  money order made payable to MSESC. All fees and costs are subject to chan
 ge.\n\nAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR is taught as a r
 equired portion of this course. For that reason we must publish the follow

 motes knowledge and proficiency in BLS\, ACLS\, and PALS and has developed
  instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an ed
