DESCRIPTION:Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)\n\nThis course emphasizes the
  skills needed to provide basic emergency care during the first phases of 
 an emergency. The course is 72 hours of classroom and practical training i
 n all aspects of initial response to a medical emergency. To receive certi
 fication by WVOEMS as a First Responder participants must successfully com
 plete practical skills evaluations\, and pass the computer-based National 
 Registry cognitive (knowledge) test. Recertification is required by Nation
 al Registry every two years.\n\nLocation:  Deerwalk VFD\, 9382 Deerwalk H
 wy.\, Walker\, WV 26180\n\nDates:  Monday\, March 2\, 2020-May 1\, 2020\,
  Mondays and Wednesdays\n\nTime:  6 PM – 10 PM\n\nThis course emphasize
 s the skills needed to provide basic emergency care during the first phase
 s of an emergency. The course is 72 hours of classroom and practical train
 ing in all aspects of initial response to a medical emergency.\n\nUpon suc
 cessful completion of the course\, you will be eligible to take the certif
 ying exams.\n\nAbsence allowance is 10% of the total class hours (7 hours)
 . Make up of missed classes will be at the discretion of the course instru
