DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWV Public Service Training will be conducting an 
 Emergency Medical Responder course beginning March 13\, 2023 from 6:00 pm 
 - 10:00 pm at Lakewood VFD (2627 Shadyside Rd.\, St. Albans\, WV 25177).\n

 : March 13\, 2023 - June 6\, 2023\n\nPlanned Meeting Dates: Mondays and Tu
 esdays\n\nTime: 6:00pm - 10:00pm\n\nOrientation is in person at Lakewood o
 n March 13.\n\nThis course emphasizes the skills needed to provide basic e
 mergency care during the first phases of an emergency. The course is 72 ho
 urs of classroom and practical training in all aspects of initial response
  to a medical emergency. To receive certification by WVOEMS as a First Res
 ponder\, participants must successfully complete practical skills evaluati
 ons\, and pass the computer-based National Registry cognitive (knowledge) 
 test. Recertification is required by National Registry every two years. Th
 is test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing cen
 ter. If seeking certification in a state other than WV\, you will not nee
 d to complete the WV certification process/fees\, and will simply need to 
 pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the ce
 rtification process in your desired state.\n\nAbsence allowance is 10% of 
 the total class hours = 7.5 hours. Make up of missed classes will be at th
 e discretion of the course instructor.\n\nFee:  $380 to include tuition a
