SUMMARY:Crisis Standards of Care Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Crisis Standards of Care (CSC) planning is intended to help the
  emergency response system—including emergency management\, public healt
 h\, behavioral health\, emergency medical services (EMS)\, health care org
 anizations and providers—provide patients with the best care possible gi
 ven the circumstances. In catastrophic disasters involving an overwhelming
  demand for medical care\, CSC planning is also intended to enable more ef
 fective use of the limited resources through fair\, just\, and equitable p
 rocesses for making decisions about who should receive treatments when the
 re are not enough resources to provide patients with the level of care the
 y would usually receive.\n\nThe Special Preparedness and Response Collabor
 ative (SPARC) is hosting a FREE full-day workshop to discuss the aspects a
 nd components of Crisis Standards of Care. This will be an informative ses
 sion designed to help prepare for any large incident that overwhelms our h
 ealthcare system. \n\nYou are invited to the SPARC Workshop on Wednesday\,
  October 29\, 2025\, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston\, Wes
