  secret that first responders are under stress.  Unfortunately\, this str
 ess often goes unrecognized\, unacknowledged\, and unmanaged\, which can r
 esult in health problems\, family conflict\, emotional detachment\, PTSD\,
  and even early retirement.\nThis presentation provides an in\ndepth look 
 at the following:\n• Different types of stress and stress reactions\n•
  The impact of first responder culture\n• Ways first responders can prot
 ect themselves and each other from helper fatigue\, burnout\, and PTSD\n
 • The role of leadership in creating a trauma informed workplace\n• Ho
