DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nThere are over 22 million alternative fuel vehic
 les on American roadways today. We have developed the Alternative Fuel Veh
 icles Training Program to help firefighters handle the unique challenges p
 resented by these new technologies. This program explains the most common 
 fuel system types\, components significant to rescuers\, safety precaution
 s\, and procedures for incidents involving alternative fueled vehicles suc
 h as Electric (EV)\, Hybrid\, Hydrogen\, Natural Gas\, and Propane. This p
 rogram includes four hours of classroom learning and four hours of hands-o
 n training\, including an overview of the vehicle’s safety restraint sys
 tems\, special considerations for Electric Vehicle Extrication\, and Elect
 ric Vehicle fire operations. (8 hours)\n\nPrerequisites and Requirements:
