Water Rescue Level 1
A Water Rescue Level 1 class will be hosted by the Bakerton VFC. The required swim test will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Charles Town Public Pool. The class will meet Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12, 2018 at Bakerton VFC starting at 8:00 am each day. Ed Sankbeil is the instructor. Prerequisites: Rescue Core Prerequisites, NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 OR WVU-FSE Rescue Core Course, and Rope Rescue Level 1, NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 OR Rope Rescue Low Angle Operations. Participants must also pass a swim test. Participants must provide verification of prerequisite training. Participants must provide a swift water helmet and PFD. Wetsuit is optional. Course fee is $45. Book is provided for use for $10 rental or can be purchased for$30.
NOTE: A Water Rescue Level 2 class will be held August 18 & 19 at Bakerton VFC
