**PLEASE NOTE:  This class was changed from July 6-7, 2019 to July 13-14, 2019 due to scheduling issues.**

Description:  This course will help the student better understand how to perform better operations with limited staffing. Part 1 will deal with ground ladders – choosing proper ladder for the job, proper handling of ground ladders, and safety of using such ladders. Part 2 deals with V.E.I.S.(Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search). Students will be introduced to VEIS basics of how to properly perform V.E.I.S. when the need for such is warranted. Part 3 will deal with proper hose handling techniques with minimum staffing. Will teach students how to properly deploy handlines, moving handlines above and below grade, etc. Part 4 will teach students about the “water can”. This will be on proper maintenance, filling, and use of the can. Also will include live fire drills using the “water can”.

Equipment Needed:  Full PPE plus an SCBA and 2 spare bottles
