Auto Extrication (16 hours)
Advanced problem solving tactics and techniques for vehicle extrication will be taught, with great emphasis given to SAFETY of rescuers and patients. Much time will be devoted to speed and planning of creating space. Hand and hydraulic rescue tools will be used, along with the concept of thinking outside the box, use of wreckers and other sources we may have at our disposal. This class will benefit the firefighter, EMT, paramedic, and assist with understanding what we do for Law Enforcement Officers.
Equipment:  Students should come with cut resistant extrication gloves, full turnout gear or rescue gear, steel toe boots and safety glasses.
